With just about a month’s tenure under the belt of the new committee, it gives us no pleasure to have to cancel the Summer Nationals at Hatton 2022.
The financial state of the club is just not solvent enough to allow us to run a show that runs at a financial loss to the club. The show at Hatton brings in very little revenue for the club but costs significant money to host and will be made worse for 2022 by the introduction of ANPR parking at Hatton.
We do hope to run a show in 2023, but of course it goes without saying we will need volunteers to assist us.
As highlighted by Richard at the 2021 AGM, the production and distribution cost of the magazine is a very significant outlay each month and the committee are currently discussing several options to try and reduce that cost. We hope to put the options to the membership very soon.
Other changes: The web site is undergoing a revamp, to include a picture gallery of AAC events and the reintroduction of the forum.
The facebook page was not owned and run by a member of the AAC committee and we had no input or control over what was published, so unfortunately we had little choice but to create another. If you use Facebook, please support the official AAC-UK page.

The new committee is finding its feet and beginning to make progress in understanding where the costs are, but equally are exploring new options and ideas to improve things and reduce costs in the meantime. Please be patient as we discuss these options, and when the memberships opinion is needed please do get involved – its your club after all.
